Supplier QA/QC- Mechanical

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech – Mechanical

Notice Period: Immediate

Skills required:

• Exposure to Global standards (IS, DIN, ASTM, JIS, BS, ISO, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand Engg. drawings, Process standards.
• ISO 9001 requirements
• Hands on experience on handling measuring instruments.
• Knowledge on Metallurgical and Mechanical testing of materials like Chemical analysis, tensile testing, Micro/Macro tests, Hardness testing, and other functional testing’s, etc.
• Exposure to different metallic coating processes like Zn Plating, Cr, Ni Plating, Chromate conversion, Anodizing, Powder Coating, and Passivation & Painting.
• Exposure in Heat Treatment processes and their requirements.
• Exposure to various welding processes.
• Exposure to Non-destructive testing methods like DPT, RT, UT and MPT.
• Exposure to Global standards (IS, DIN, ASTM, JIS, BS, ISO, etc)
• Ability to read and understand Engg drawings, Process standards.
• ISO 9001 requirements
• Hands on experience on handling measuring instruments.
• Data Analysis, Statistics

Job Responsibilities: 

• Working closely with Supplier to develop and carry out inspection of Heavy fabrication structures, machined components, Sheet metal parts, Forging, castings etc.
• Analysing supplier level metrics, defects and non-conformances
• Monitoring and improving supplier performances rating
• Monitoring and continually improving KPI performances.
• Drive quality planning by establishing appropriate gauges, QAP and inspection plan.
• Driving new Quality Initiatives in the field of systems, process and product improvements.
• Presenting monthly quality function status
• Ensure controls on Special processes (Welding, Heat treatment, Plating etc)
